Medical Marijuana Growing - People v Colvin

The California Supreme Court recently decided not to hear a case, this affirming the ruling that collective members are NOT required to cultivate their own marijuana. In People v. Colvin, the court finally gave an answer to a vital question.

No longer will any seriously ill medical marijuana patients be forced to grow their own medicine. As such, the Court of Appeal held in Colvin that "collectives and cooperatives may cultivate and transport marijuana in aggregate amounts tied to its membership numbers." Furthermore, the Colvin decision affirmed the idea that possession of extracted or concentrated forms of medical marijuana was legal under California state law.
